Trading services seems to be a popular thing to do in our industry.
Have you ever received a message that says something like, “Hey! Would you like to trade your services for one post?”…
Bloggers are notorious for this and make a living off using their audience to get freebies.
Trading services almost always leaves someone getting the short end of the stick, and usually the one doing the actual work.
If you have had good experiences trading work let me ask you a question, if you really value each others work why not pay each other the money?
If you are into a cash only business then you do you, but if you are wanting to run a real biz with clients that value your time and talent then I would stop the bartering game immediately.
Remember, you are the commodity doing the actual hard work on your feet not the one posting one post…
